The XBR series self-limiting heat tracing can provide a variety of electric heating and heating solutions, and is composed of two parallel buses connected in parallel semiconductor heating elements. Self-limiting temperature trace can adjust the power output according to the environment and product surface temperature, as the temperature rises, the resistance of the cable increases, the output power decreases, and when the opposite outside temperature decreases, the resistance value of the cable decreases and the output power increases.

XBR series self-limiting heat tracing is suitable for defrosting and insulation of pipes, tanks, valves, flanges, roof melting ice and snow, and other heat tracing heating applications that require high power output. The product is suitable for use in explosion-proof environments, and fluorine-containing sheathed products can also be used in corrosive environments. The XBR series self-limiting temperature trace can withstand temperatures up to 200°C (392°F) and maintain temperatures up to 120°C (248°F).

Circuit breaker specifications and types

The selection and grounding protection of loop circuit breakers should comply with IEC and GB related standards. For other design and performance parameters under voltage, please contact the local representative of Huanrui, and each branch circuit supplying power to the electric heating equipment should be protected against ground faults.

Note 1.The maximum circuit length shown is determined according to the characteristics of the instantaneous trip current of the circuit breaker specified in lEC60898, as well as the start-up temperature and maintenance temperature, and is only used to estimate the circuit length. 2. Electric heat tracing systems are usually designed to maintain the material inside the line at the desired temperature, so the electric heat trace may work at lower temperatures. For design parameters at lower start-up temperatures, please contact your local representative at Huanrui.

3. The maximum circuit length is only for the length of one continuous electric trace, not the length after multi-segment electric cable connection. To find out the load of each section of the trace, please contact your local representative in Huanrui.

4. Huanrui recommends using a 30mA leakage protection device to ensure safety and prevent fire to the greatest extent. For applications that may cause high leakage currents, a 300mA leakage protection device may be required. All security features need to be verified.

Series constant power RDC series
RDC series constant power heating cables use metal conductors as heating elements, and when the power is turned on, the metal conductors emit heat because the series constant power tracing unit length current and resistance are equal.
